)))echo~echo(((
A tribute to silence, in four long pieces. The debut album of Mariusz Szypura and Paweł Krawczyk: guitar drone, ambient and the minimalism of 1990s post-rock, far from the noise and overstimulation of the everyday.
01 · The album
In Japanese, noizu means noise. This record is about the opposite: silence understood as harmony between body and mind, not as the absence of sound.
)))echo~echo((( is a long-running project of Mariusz Szypura and Paweł Krawczyk. noizu ノイズ is a stream of unconscious musical images, a sonic narrative without the rules of any single genre. It evokes contemporary ambient and avant-garde electronics, while its instrumental and emotional core comes from minimalism and post-rock.
The cover is an anaglyph, an image built with the stereoscopic technique first described by W. Rollmann in 1853. Like the record, it asks for the listener's attention and active participation. Recorded 2022-2025, produced and mixed by the duo, mastered by Jacek Gawłowski.
02 · Four pieces
A twenty-minute suite: the cold, guitar-driven spaces of Labradford meet the cinematic weight of Mogwai, then dissolve into a distorted, grainy world close to Low's Double Negative.
Hypnotic and slow, with moments that recall Boards of Canada.
The minimal rock of Aerial M, loops in the spirit of Chicago's Kranky Records and the dream textures of Brian Eno's Discreet Music.
Deep, massive soundscapes on the border of ambient and IDM, near Tim Hecker and Rival Consoles, with a thread of delicate melody.
